Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson comes from a musical family. The majority of her childhood was spent listening to classical music, boleros from the past, and the traditional romantic and ranchero ballads. Ana loves Tangos, opera, and any form of dramatic performance. She started singing and studying music with her mother, and commenced more serious singing training at the age of 16 under the renown Mexican tenor Flavio Becerra. In Guadalajara, she attended the School of Music of University of Guadalajara and then in Toluca at the School of Sacred Music. As a student and when she was a professional young in Mexico City and Guadalajara she was a member of several chamber ensembles and choirs. When she moved to America in the year 2000, she joined the United States in 2000, she sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before making the move to her current home in southern California. She sings with Ensemble XXI Redlands, and performs Latin American traditional music solo for many private functions. The passion and love she has in music, art and performing keeps her involved with many local organizations as a teacher and performer. Ana was a member of both the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is now a teacher of the Performance Loft. Ana is grateful for being able to share her love and love for traditional Latin American songs with others, and in doing so hopes to instill a sense of, especially among younger generations to keep this tradition alive.Viva Mexico!
