Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson is the daughter of British lawyers Jacqueline Luesby (born in Paris) and Chris Watson (born in Paris). The couple relocated to Oxfordshire when she was five and enrolled in the Dragon School. Emma was inspired to become an actor at age six. Through the years, she attended the Oxford Branch of Stagecoach Theatre Arts part-time school. She learned to sing, dancing and acting. At the age of 10, Emma had taken part in numerous Stagecoach productions and plays. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000) the 2001 adaptation to J.K. Rowling's bestselling British book began in 1999. Emma was discovered through Emma's Oxford Theatre instructor. David Heyman told Emma along together with Rupert Grint, Daniel Radcliffe that they had all been through eight straight auditions. Emma's screen debut took place with Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone's release in the year 2001. The film broke records for opening-day sales and opening-weekend takings and was the highest-grossing film of the year 2001. Critics praised the film and the performance of three young stars. The Daily Telegraph in Britain that is distributed widely and widely read, praised her performance as admirable. Emma received the Young Artist Award as the leading young actress in a Feature Film. The actress was recognized five times in recognition of her performance in the movie.
